Campaign Manager / Junior Campaign Manager

You’re going to be involved in all aspects of media campaign delivery. From carrying out research and working with producers and planners to support the development stage, through to liaising with big name clients and media publishers, you’ll ensure that campaigns get off to a flyer and generate the kind of results that leave jaws on the floor. If you’re interested in the senior role, you’ll need a proven agency background, an understanding of digital marketing/media and campaign/project management experience. Senior Front End / JavaScript Developer

Fantastic opportunity to work on great projects for big name clients like Activision, Gap and UKTV, using the very latest cutting edge technologies, and personally make a mark on the marketing & communications and technology industries.

Types of projects include interactive creative marketing campaign apps, large internationalised websites, responsive cross platform/device sites, (html5) web applications, single page JavaScript applications etc. If it uses web technologies you could be working on it.

This role is heavily hands-on coding, but you’ll also be invited to contribute ideas for projects and be required to scope and lead other developers to work alongside you on projects. In addition, as the most senior front end developer, you’ll be the front end web technology champion, learning new technologies and techniques and sharing them with your colleagues.

You’ll have a solid background within a digital agency (or similar setting) and be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Expertise in writing object-oriented JavaScript from scratch, for in page widgets to complex, single page JavaScript applications, that are designed and implemented to a high standard to be robust, maintainable and high performance. Experience of, but not reliant on, object-oriented JavaScript frameworks (YUI3, Prototype, etc..).
  • Proven experience in leading the front end development of large, complex, highly interactive, highly designed, creatively led websites, including internationalisation.
  • Writes clean, semantic markup, adhering to SEO best practice, uses HTML5 where appropriate.
  • Applies CSS best practices for robust, maintainable code and significant experience with advanced CSS techniques. Complete cross-browser understanding. Experience of CSS3. Battle-scarred by IE to the point where you now just say “bring it on!”
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and knows how to achieve them practically, from a front end coding perspective. Able to apply progressive enhancement and graceful degradation techniques, and choose the best technique and technology for the target audience.

You will also have:

  • The ability to come up with new ideas for creative uses of technology
  • The ability to communicate technical issues and functional scopes to non techies
  • The ability to communicate technical architecture and recommended approach to other developers
  • A passion for front end technologies and code for fun, confident in your abilities to open source and invite peer review
  • A good knowledge of Photoshop

Although not essential, it is desirable that you have experience with:

  • HTML5 apis e.g. local storage, push state, geolocation
  • Canvas and SVG
  • SASS, Compass
  • Responsive design
  • Mobile website development
  • Phonegap or Titanium
  • Facebook platform
  • SVN
  • LAMP stack
  • Automated testing and documentation tools
